It all started the way the best things usually do — just for fun.

I’ve always loved TCGs, and I wanted my decks to look as cool as they felt to play. So I started making my own custom tokens and card alters, purely for myself, with no intention of selling a single one. But when friends and fellow players at my locals got a look at them, something unexpected happened — they wanted them too.

So I started sharing my work. A few Star Wars Unlimited alters here, some Flesh and Blood tokens there. The response was overwhelming. People weren’t just buying them — they were showing them off at their local game stores, pulling them out at game nights, and coming back to tell me how much their friends loved them. That kind of feedback means everything to a creator.

What started as a personal hobby has grown into something I’m truly proud of. Over on our Etsy shop at animealters.etsy.com we’ve built a community of nearly 2,000 five-star reviews from players and collectors who love their cards as much as I do. Every single one of those reviews reminds me why I started.
